About this event
Beinn Fhionnlaidh has to be one of the most underrated Munros in the whole of the Highlands. It really is a fantastic Munro and offers some of the best views of the nearby peaks of Glencoe and Glen Etive. If you're relatively new to winter hill-walking then this easy-going Munro offers the perfect place to get in some practice using ice axe and crampons. The long west ridge is never so steep to intimidate and if conditions are right we will hopefully have time to hone our movement techniques on snow and ice, with and without crampons. This guided mountain day is not intended as a practical winter skills session but, as with all of our guided events, if time and conditions allow, we can hopefully refresh skills, correct bad practice, and answer any questions. Additional Information Maximum Group size is 6 and online booking is available on the following dates: Saturday 6th January 24 All participants will require an ice axe and crampons (not micro-spikes). If you do not have your own equipment then I do have a limited supply available to hire at a small additional charge of £10. Please drop us an email with your requirements. Equipment can also be hired locally.
